🤖 The gist
Look at you! Starting the day by diving into your inbox for all the goodness that Hey Rebekah has to offer.
Who can blame you?
We must admit though, we're flattered that you chose us over all the cat videos and TikTok dances.
But remember, with great knowledge comes great power.
Be responsible. Because, before you know it your brain will be like overcooked spaghetti. A soggy mush instead of a crisp al dente.
Think about working in tomato colored blocks of time with regular breaks. They’ll give you a chance to cool down and settle.
Because, let's face it, whether you're coming up with delicious ad-campaigns, simmering over your next post, or whipping up your next masterpiece, you need to be intentional about your time.
It will help you shine.👇🏽

🍝 All the trains lead to Vapiano

What if carbs are the secret sauce to delightful creativity?
What other explanation could there be for the brilliance of all these pasta brands? Like the Barilla Spotify playlists or Good Hair Pasta packaging.
This fresh campaign from the Italian restaurant Vapiano, in London, makes us drool. Their creative really brings home the cheese.
Now, if you’re ready to add some punch to your writing, let’s move on to the main event. ⤵
COPYWRITING
🥊 The wordsmiths’ showdown

Shakespeare vs Hunter S. Thompson boxing in the style of Van Gogh | Hugging Face by Stable Diffusion 2.1
Word slingers unite! You’re about to witness the long-awaited bout between two top-rated contenders. In the right corner, the silver-tongued copywriter and in the left corner, the imagination-infused content writer.
Who’s your pick to win the gold, or at least the glittering trophy made of foil-wrapper chocolate?
Selecting the right training camp
If you’re getting ready for the world title, you might be wondering which training camp will give you the most bang for your buck as a freelancer.
The answer depends on your writing savvy, the ink you want to spill, and the folks you aim to impress with your quill.
Copywriters
Should have a knack for sales, marketing, and persuasion. They tend to bring home more bacon because they can throw a solid punch that increases conversions. But they might need to be on a never-ending scavenger hunt for clients during the on and off seasons of sale and promo cycles.
Content writers
Might have to make it out of the trenches of the freelancer platforms where newbies are charging peanuts. But once they pair their brevity with content strategy or SEO skills, they can land impressive jabs that create brand awareness and drive organic traffic to the site.
The best of both worlds?

Can’t stand the FOMO when choosing only one? It’s possible to enlist in both if that’s what your overachieving soul craves.
But as you’ve seen, the two pros require different skills inside the ring. And while sparring with everyone might work for you in the early rounds, it changes later.
As you discover which of your shots guarantee the best knockout, sticking with one camp will help you excel.
And the winner is…
So who takes home the belt? We’re sorry to disappoint but it’s a split-draw. The athletes need the cheering and hollering of the crowd to give their all-star performance.
With the marketers providing a standing-ovation the copywriter gets the winning dance. If the arena is filled with clients who need a digital footprint, the content writer will get their shot.
Meanwhile, small businesses are sitting outside boycotting the whole event and looking for someone who can do it all.
Whichever camp you choose, don’t make the mistake of soliciting too many opinions. You may just end up ditching your next masterpiece.

UX DESIGN
🫥 Invisibly good

Good UX design to get conversions in the style of cubism | Hugging Face by Stable Diffusion 2.1
During our agency heyday, we were invited to advise on a lot of UX design opportunities for web and mobile experiences. Sometimes before any work had been done, often while in progress, and commonly once the project was in production.
A frequently asked question: What do you think of the design?
After blurting out expected niceties we typically ground our feedback with a big but.
Designing for the end goal
Good design, when it’s done well becomes invisible. It’s only when it’s done poorly that we notice it. Think of it like a room’s air conditioning. We only notice if it’s too hot, too cold, or making too much noise. Yet, if the air conditioning is perfect, nobody says anything and we focus, instead, on the task at hand.
App for that
If you need an expert opinion on your next magnum opus, say hello to our friends at Oddit.

An Oddit Report represents the culmination of many years of expertise, distilled into actionable recommendations that can enhance your brand and skyrocket conversion rates to dizzying heights. But don’t just take our word for it.
We live and breathe DTC, but sometimes you get so close to your product or brand that you miss opportunities. Working with Oddit has been an absolute game changer—their insights constantly blow me away.
