BONJOUR
🤖 The gist
When I write, I need everything to be quiet.
No pings, no emails, nada—my surroundings have to be as peaceful as the calm sea.
Easier said than done. Am I right?
Throughout the day, a raging storm of notifications often sabotages my flow. To find my deep focus, I decided to work in the early morning hours.
I brewed my first coffee before sunrise and concentrated on the most crucial tasks. This way, I got a headstart. By the time the world woke up, I had ticked off everything important.
It was going great until...
I got a client from the Eastern time zone.
Their notifications hijacked my peaceful morning routine. It was all gone in a flash. I struggled to stay on task and jumped from one thing to the next.
What did I do, you ask?
Reshuffled my schedule and found a new way to keep things afloat.
I realized that the late afternoons also offered a tranquil moment at the beach. I used them for writing and embraced the mornings for doing other things that made me happy.
What are the strategies that help you get things done?👇🏽
