OUR FURRY ANGEL

❤️ Rolo—The little boy who melted hearts

We’re devastated. The Hey Rebekah team has lost their true champion. Though he may be gone, his memories will live on, sweet and precious, just like the candy he was named after. Rest easy, sweet Rolo. You will be missed and always remembered. ❤️🐶❤️

So this is where we part, my friend, and you’ll run on, around the bend, gone from sight, but not from mind, new pleasures there you’ll surely find. I will go on, I’ll find the strength, life measures quality, not its length. One long embrace before you leave, share one last look, before I grieve. There are others, that much is true, but they be they, and they aren’t you. And I, fair, impartial, or so I thought, will remember well all you’ve taught. Your place I’ll hold, you will be missed, the fur I stroked, the nose I kissed. And as you journey to your final rest, take with you this…I loved you best.

GOOD MORNING

🤖 The gist

When I was freelancing, I found it hard to slow down.

Like a student striving for straight As, my ambition kept me focused on my goals. The drive for success prevented me from taking breaks or enjoying time off.

Even Netflix couldn't help me wind down.

So I tried to do something different.

I started reading transgressive fiction. This helped me forget daily worries and enter a whole new world.

But my inner overachiever refused to let me rest. Before I knew it, I was time-blocking my schedule to meet my reading targets and felt guilty when I didn't.

Over time, I've gotten better at recognizing when I’m pushing myself too hard. Now I know taking it easy is important, but I'm still a work in progress.

Learning to slow down can feel like an endless semester.

So, every Friday we share some tips to help you unlearn the habits ingrained by toxic hustle culture. 👇🏽

Today, we’ll teach you how to break free from the daily routine and help you recognize the difference between urgent and important.

SLOW TO FLOW

💓 Important curriculum

  • Shifting focus: Grind culture is like studying for exams 24/7. Take breaks, prioritize self-care, and balance your workload.

  • Here’s what matters: We're all on a clock and each day ticks us closer to the final bell. Make the most of it and live life to the fullest.

  • Define priorities: Adulting comes with its own set of challenges. Learn to take a step back and be mindful of your time.
