Managing a lot of online systems is a challenge. There’s an ever-evolving array of CRM, e-commerce, and project management systems that keep me on my toes.
Recently, I had to use a system I wasn't familiar with.
It was like arriving in a new city for the first time. Everything felt foreign, overwhelming, and difficult to navigate.
I hunkered down to explore the new environment. I enrolled in every training session and tutorial available.
Just when I thought I had it all figured out, we switched to a new system.
I lost my GPS again.
But this time, I had more confidence. I became familiar with the underlying processes that these systems automated. This understanding helped me find my footing faster.
Now I know that unfamiliar environments are nothing to be afraid of. The ability to adapt is essential, and knowing the processes speeds up the transition.

Rebekah Radice, co-founder of BRIL.LA, has traded narcissism for purpose. When not driving growth, you'll find her tricking family into thinking she's Emeril Lagasse - likely covered in marinara. The spotlight was fun, but impact is better. These days she's using 20+ years of brand brilliance for good.
