According to the American Staffing Association, most adults in the U.S. believe a recession is upon us.

What's interesting about their findings is that 58% of workers consider a side hustle to supplement income. We don't mean to trivialize their predicament, but this reinforces an idea we think workers should embrace.

In March 2020—when we were all locked down—something became clear to us. We realized that one of the biggest challenges we control freaks were facing, was a lack of control in our lives. We couldn't go outside, we couldn't head into the office, we couldn't socialize.

This was all unprecedented at that time, it isn't anymore. We understood that our current dependency on clients/work—which came to a grinding halt—was part of the problem.

The moral of this story is: When we begin to take control of the things we're taught are out of our control, we gain control. Well, kinda...in other words, to those of you thinking about a side hustle, lean in and kick @$$.
