Spinning Tales

Give an AI system bad data or insufficient context, get nonsense out. Full, quality info in, usefulness out.

Curatin' content can be as treacherous as a horse kick to the face. Like a naive cowpoke, I thought I'd take a shortcut. I roped my AI companion into the mix to quickly round up some summaries.

At first, I was told to paste the entire text into the prompt. But being the efficient wrangler I am, I reckoned that just pasting links would do the trick.

Little did I know, the varmint had started hallucinatin' like a cowboy lost in the desert. For a whole month, it spun tales so convincingly that even the summaries weren't half bad. My colleague rode in and hollered, "GPT can't browse, you greenhorn!"

We argued and argued did we.

Turns out, the scoundrel couldn't roam the web back then. It ended up conjurin' tales by connecting the dots, inferring from titles and maybe even the meta-data.

We learned our lesson. GPT only knew what we gave it. Now, I was going to corral the best content without lettin' it spin yarns taller than a saguaro cactus.
