Let’s face it. Juggling social media isn’t easy. Tweet this, post that, share, share, share. Is there ever an end to the incessant stream of updates? But you’re committed.

You want to stand out, market your business and rise above the noise. Yet, there’s no getting around it. Creating content and conversations seems to be a full-time job.

But it’s not yours.

You have a business and clients and daily to-do’s that must get done. But what if there was a way to manage it all?

What if you could magically cut through the clutter at super speed or manage hundreds of tasks in the blink of an eye?If only you had superpowers like those of our favorite superheroes.

The good news? You can!

Below are superpowers that you can use every day. Ready to become a social media superstar? Let’s go!

Time travel

Send an erroneous tweet? Accidentally hit share before your post was complete? It’s happened to every one of us. If only we could travel back in time.

Maybe it would be a faster response to a negative review or to tell a troll to take a hike before they caused so much disruption. While you might not have the flux capacitor in your social media tool belt, you always have the opportunity for a “do-over.” Repeat after me.

“A misstep in social media doesn’t have to be fatal.”

Whether it’s an apology or quick laugh over a mistake, it’s your response that determines the outcome. Be real, be human, but most of all, be present in building your own social media presence. Tweet This!

Purveyor of truth

Telling the truth. It’s the ultimate superpower and your super strength in business and life. But what if you could always tell who was being truthful with you?

What if you could miraculously cut through the BS and know, without a shadow of a doubt, what clients were best aligned for your business? The truth will set you free.

While you can't wrap anyone up with the lasso of truth, you can be straightforward and honest in all of your business dealings.

Speaking the truth, no matter the situation, may not endear everyone to you, but it will uncomplicate many of the complicated situations you can find yourself in online.

Zombie whisperer

Internet Zombies. They’re around every corner. You know them well. They’re your readers, fans, followers and potential clients. You know, the ones you can’t seem to figure out?

Is it the one that seems to just stare blankly through your content? They don’t interact, elicit no emotion and never, ever have anything to add to the conversation. Want to reach them? Give them something to talk about!

Invite them to the party. Ask them questions, share a story, and get them involved. What about your business gets you excited? What topic would draw you out of a zombie-like coma and into a meaningful discussion?

Make it your mission to answer those questions and turn your zombie followers into active participants.

Electromagnetic force field

Wouldn’t it be super cool if you could create a force field around your business?

One that would protect your company, no matter what thoughts, opinions, or feedback was shared across social media? You can!

Well, sort of, and it looks like this…Your electromagnetic force field is formed from the positive content you share. It’s the way you spread your story on a daily basis. It’s in the words you use and the content you create.

Think about it. From blog content to video testimonials, you have the power to manage perception. Because let’s be honest. Perception in the online world is reality. And that reality can make or break your bottom line.

One negative review with no way to manage it and POOF! There goes your reputation. Make it your daily duty to keep your finger on the pulse of what’s being said (and found online) about your business.

And most of all, maintain your online standing by consistently generating content that’s in alignment with your mission, vision and values.

Superhuman speed

Who wouldn’t love to write the perfect blog post at lightning speed? Or answer every comment, tweet or mention in a matter of moments?

While you might not be able to fly around the Internet at a supersonic pace, you can speed things up.

Put a plan in place. Make it stick by adding it to a system and use tools that support it. Not sure how to get started? Here’s your strategy blueprint!

Precognition

Call it what you will, precognition, clairvoyance, foresight or that nagging feeling in the pit of your stomach. Whatever the case, it’s the ability to see into the future that will save you from social media heartache.

Assessing, analyzing and maintaining a finger on the pulse of your marketplace is the key to futuristic forecasting and your opportunity to stay ahead of the curve.

While you might not be able to predict the future every time, becoming aware of your surroundings allow you to stay agile and swift in the face of change.

Mind reader

Ever wish you could see directly into the thoughts of your potential buyer? Wouldn’t it be great if you knew exactly what they wanted and then could provide it every time?

What marketer doesn’t want that superpower, right? Well, you can have it or at least come close. How?

Pay attention to your analytics, metrics and goals. Numbers don’t lie and will always give you the guidance and direction you need. Measure your conversations, interaction, engagement, and shares through tools such as Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, and Buffer.

However you decide to measure your online efforts, you must commit to a review process. Get it scheduled!

Put the day and time you will review your weekly metrics into your calendar and treat it like any other appointment. It’s that important.

Superhero, super women: my super geek day

I admit it. I’m a product of the 70’s. I have affection for bad 70’s TV shows, bell-bottom pants, and music that encouraged us to “get down, get down, get down tonight.” But most of all, my affection is for the superheroes that invaded our Saturday mornings.

As a young girl, you could find me running through the backyard, sporting my Wonder Woman underoos, lasso of truth, and golden bracelets.

Last weekend, when I had the chance to meet two of my favorite superheroes, Lynda Carter and Lindsey Wagner, it was a little girl's dream come true and the inspiration for this post.

While we all can't be blessed with super hearing or the ability to leap tall buildings, we can dream what it would be like.

What superpower do you wish you had?
